ALEMANY FOOTBALL LOSING A FEW GUYS
By Jacob H. Pollon
The Alemany football has been steadily getting back on its feet the last few years after the hiring of top coach Casey Clausen.
In fact, Alemany has been stockpiling so much talent that now a few guys are leaving to gain playing time elsewhere.
Damario Strong, a junior running back/cornerback, is headed to Warren; Isaac Moxley, a junior wide receiver, could be on his way to Paraclete; and Elijah Gipson and Jashawn Todd are headed to Oaks Christian. Gipson is a sophomore wide receiver and cornerback while Todd is a junior wide receiver and safety.
Alemany head coach Casey Clausen also indicated a few more players might be leaving, including junior lineman Ryan Alvarez and sophomore linebacker Gage White.
However, do not feel sorry for the Warriors.
Back in the fold are top juniors D.J. Justice (WR), Miller Moss (QB) and Jaylin Smith (WR/CB), super sophomores Floyd Chalk (RB), Kevin Green (WR) and linebacker Niuafe Tuihalamaka (6-foot-3, 250 pounds).
Alemany isn't too bad up front, either. The trio of sophomores Samiuela Sefa, Samiuela Palu and Sosaia Mapakaitolo will be opening holes and keeping Moss protected.
Alemany has five top notch non-league games scheduled for 2020, including games against Helix (San Diego), Liberty (Nevada), Oaks Christian, Mission Viejo and Lawndale.
